Our Design & Build service allows us to guide you through your project from start to finish thus eliminating the need for hiring costly architects and a building firms separately. Throughout your project we will be your one and only point of call. This lock and key process has proven to be a far less stressful way of working and is also far more cost effective; as we can ensure that your project is designed and built to suit your criteria and budget.
As the design stage of your project is priced separately from the building stage, you are not committed to using us to carry out your building work. Once we have produced your drawings, they are yours to keep; therefore you may choose to use them to get prices from other building firms.
To the left of this page we have outlined the general process of a Design & Build project...
Step 1. Free consultation
Initial meeting to discuss the project you have in mind.
Step 2. Site survey
Under your instruction, we will return to carry out a site survey allowing us to produce a measured drawing.
Step 3. Initial designs
We will then meet with you again to present our design proposals. We will also be able to discuss costs.
Step 4. Planning permission
We will be able to advise you on whether this is necessary. We can apply for this on your behalf.
Step 5. Building Control
The next step is for us to prepare your drawings for building control ensuring that your project is compliant with building regulations. It may be necessary to appoint the services of our engineer to assist with this.
Step 6. Commence work
If you are happy for us to proceed with the build we will set a date to commence work. Our design services will continue as we assist with the interior design of your project i.e. the layout and sourcing of your kitchen/bathroom suite.
